Is working with Dwell & Bloom Interiors within my budget?
This looks different for everyone; however, interior design is more flexible than many people realize! At Dwell & Bloom Interiors, we offer different levels of service, from our Full-Service design package to more budget-conscious Design-Only packages. We’re here to help you make the most of your investment, whether you're looking to furnish + decorate just a portion of a room or reimagining your entire home.
Great design is possible at many price points—it’s all about smart planning and intentional choices…and that’s where we come in!
How is your pricing structured?
We offer flat-fee packages based on the scope and complexity of the project. This approach provides transparency and allows you to understand the investment upfront.
What is the minimum investment for furnishings & materials?
Our Full-Service Design package is best suited for clients with a larger investment range. For this offering, we recommend a minimum budget of $15,000+ per room for furnishings and materials sourced through our trusted vendor partners.
Our Design-Only package is a more flexible option for those managing a smaller investment, with a recommended minimum of $5,000+ per room, using furnishings and décor from retail sources.
Keep in mind, the overall scope and scale of your project—including room size and desired finishes will play a big role in determining the final investment.
How Does Ordering Work?
With our Full-Service package, everything must be purchased through Dwell & Bloom and we charge at retail pricing for our purchases. With our Design-Only package, client receives a shopping list along with their finished design and all purchasing is handled by the client.
Can I pay in installments?
After accepting our client proposal and approving our contract, you will receive an initial deposit invoice of 50% of the total service fee. The remaining 50% of the service fee is required to be paid (3) days prior to the design presentation.
With our Full-Service package, we request 100% payment upfront via check or CC before we order the materials/furnishings.
How can I prepare for the discovery call?
The discovery call is a chance for us to get to know each other and see if we’re the right match. We’ll chat about your style, budget, and timeline to make sure we’re aligned. Before the call, take a moment to think about how you’d describe your aesthetic, what you're comfortable investing, and when you'd like to get started.
How long does the design process usually take?
No two projects are alike so the timeline varies depending on the project's scope, especially if your project requires construction, but on average from start to finish:
Full-Service Design: Approximately 3-8 months
Design-Only Service: 3-4 weeks.
Where do you source your furnishings and materials?
We attend industry trade events/meetings and maintain relationships with a variety of vendors that we trust to source high-quality furnishings and materials that align with your design aesthetic and budget.
What’s the best way to communicate with D&B?
We’re happy with text, email, or phone call during our M-F business hours. Text or email is preferred as this is best for our record-keeping and clarity. In addition, design feedback is best communicated through our design program.
Why hire a professional interior designer instead of using free services from retail stores?
While retail stores may offer complimentary design assistance, their recommendations are often limited to their product lines. As independent designers, we prioritize your unique needs and have access to a wide range of products and vendors, ensuring a personalized and cohesive design tailored to your lifestyle.
